"Self - Destruction
On Saturday, November 17, John Lansinger, who lived at the six corners near Sandy Lake, Rootstown, took a portation of poison, called Rough on Rats, with the intention of committing suidcide. On that day he had been in Kent with a load of grain, and while there imbilled freely in liquors, so that he was very badly intoxicated when he arrived at his brother, Fred's house in the evening. He took the poison at about 11 o'clock that night but its effect was not final until the next Thursday morning when he died. During the time he suffered intensley, but was conscious of his condition. Mr. Lansinger and his wife did not live happily together, so she applied for a divorce which is pending in the Common Pleas Court. This seems to have so disturbed his mind that he destroyed his life. He leaves a wife and seven children. He was buried last Saturday in the Catholic cemetery at Randolph."

     Minnie May Lansinger was born on 30 May 1884 at Rootstown, Portage County, OH, USA.¹ She was the daughter of John Lansinger and Lydia Ann Faylor.¹ As of 6 April 1907,her married name was Weckerly. Minnie May Lansinger married Lewis C. Weckerly on 6 April 1907. Minnie May Lansinger died on 5 November 1971 at Portage County, OH, USA, at age 87.¹

     Nellie M. Lansinger is the daughter of John Lansinger and Lydia Ann Faylor.¹ Nellie M. Lansinger married Mathew L. Johnson.
