     John Mantle was a harness maker.² He married Adaline Falor, daughter of John Adam Falor Jr. and Kiziah Wink, on 25 August 1858 at Summit County, OH, USA.¹ John Mantle appeared on the census of 1870 at Tallmadge Township, Summit County, OH, USA.³ He appeared on the census of 1880 at Suffield Township, Portage County, OH, USA; Listed as John Mantel.⁴ He died circa 1890.²

     Marion A Mantle was born in 1905 at Akron, Summit County, OH, USA. He was the son of Rollo A Mantle and Maud Whitehead. Marion A Mantle married Edith McCullough in 1932. Marion A Mantle died on 16 February 1984 at Wayne County, OH, USA. I believe it is from the Akron Beacon Journel. Just a note to let you know that Maud's maiden name was Whitehead, and the paper misspelled it. I typed it the way it was written. The hospital that he died in was in Wayne County, Ohio

Marion A. Mantle
Seville - Marion A. Mantle, 78, of 9850 Wooster Pike, died Thursday at the Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital following a short illness.
He was born in Akron in 1905, the son of Rolla and Maude Whithead Mantle. He married Edith McCullough in 1932, and had lived mostly in Stow. For the last 18 months he lived on Wooster Pike. He worked at the Beacon Journal 38 years, where he was foreman of the Stereotype Department for ten years.
He is survivied by wife; sons, Albert McCullough of Pompano Beach, Fla., Rev. Robert Mantle of Oklahoma City, Okla; daugher, Mrs. JoAnne Schmid of Michigan; 14 Grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons, Donald and Dale; and brothers, Russell and Arthur.
Funeral services Monday, 1 p.m., at the Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with his son, Rev. Robert E. Mantle, officiating. Burial Stow Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, 7-9 p.m."
