Marion A. Mantle
Seville - Marion A. Mantle, 78, of 9850 Wooster Pike, died Thursday at the Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital following a short illness.
He was born in Akron in 1905, the son of Rolla and Maude Whithead Mantle. He married Edith McCullough in 1932, and had lived mostly in Stow. For the last 18 months he lived on Wooster Pike. He worked at the Beacon Journal 38 years, where he was foreman of the Stereotype Department for ten years.
He is survivied by wife; sons, Albert McCullough of Pompano Beach, Fla., Rev. Robert Mantle of Oklahoma City, Okla.; daugher, Mrs. JoAnne Schmid of Michigan; 14 Grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons, Donald and Dale; and brothers, Russell and Arthur.
Funeral services Monday, 1 p.m., at the Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with his son, Rev. Robert E. Mantle, officiating. Burial Stow Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, 7-9 p.m."
