Arthur L Mantle married Duska Phillips, daughter of Robert T Phillips and Alice Huttle, on 3 June 1934 at Stow, Summit County, OH, USA; Summit County courthouse has a marriage record in Marriage Vol. 9, Pg. 281.¹
Arthur L Mantle died on 19 January 1981 at age 67. Obituary from the Akron Beacon Journal, Tuesday, 20 January 1981:

"ARTHUR L. MANTLE
Tallmadge - Arthur L. Mantle, 67, of 367 W. Overdale Dr., passed away January 19.
Mr. Mantle was born in Akron, and was a driver with the Bender - Loudon Motor Freight Company, retiring in 1976 after 29 years service. he was a member of the Teamsters Local NO. 24, the Wahoo's Square Dance Club, the Flutter Wheelers Square Dance C;ib. amd was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys; sons, Richard and Robert, both in Texas; daughter, Janet Sue of Tallmadge; five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Adams Funeral Home, Tuesday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and where Pastor Donavon Doerfer will conduct services Wednesday 1 p.m. Interment Tallmadge Cemetery. (Adams, 535-9186.)"

     "Hi, I just received an 1880 census for the inhabitants of Suffield Twp., Portage, Ohio. John Mantel (and that is how they have it spelled on the census for 1880. The 1870 census has it spelled Mantle. Whatever. Anyway, on the 1880 census they have another child listed: Rolla A. Mantel, age 4, born in Ohio. The 1870 census they were living in Tallmadge Twp., Summit Co. Ohio.
Irene."² John Mantle was a harness maker.³ He married Adaline Falor, daughter of John Adam Falor Jr. and Kiziah Wink, on 25 August 1858 at Summit County, OH, USA.¹ John Mantle died circa 1890.³
