Brenda Ann Appelt passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 in Lake Charles, LA. She was born on August 6, 1956 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Brenda is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dennis Appelt. Her son, Billy; daughters, Laura and Denise; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; Sister, Barbara; 3 nieces; and 8 great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; William and Frances Stanley, and granddaughter Lainy.

Brenda Appelt may have been born in Hawaii, but was raised in Houston. A natural born Texan. She was an avid animal lover. The raccoons will surely miss her. She was always taking care of others and putting their needs above her own. Everyone was family to her.

Brenda worked hard her entire life spending 38 years with the railroad until retiring in 2016.

She was a so happy taking in everyone as family and trying to put smiles on their faces by helping out in any way she could and being there for them. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma and friend to many and will be dearly missed.
