“A.P. Falor Is No More - Well-Known Pioneer Answers the Last Call at Eureka.

Arthur P. Falor of Eureka, died at the Sequoia hospital last Saturday afternoon after a protracted illness, having been afflicted with heart disease. He was 66 years old, having been born in Rockford, Illinois, Oct. 13, 1849. Mr. Falor came to California in 1855 and first settled at the Forks of the Salmon River. Later he lived at Hoopa and after that at Liscom Hill. For a number of years he farmed on Arcata Bottom and then went to Maple Creek where he lived until four to five years ago when he retired from ranching and moved to Eureka.
     In 1879 he married Miss Udella Smith, who died, Dec. 11, 1901 five children were born to the couple, all of whom are living in the county, Milo Falor of Arcata, Elmer, George and Albert of Korbel, and Mrs. Edith Ball of Arcata. There are also to survive him two sisters, Mrs. J.G. Dolson of Arcata and Mrs. Carrie Clyde of Eureka and two brothers, Charles Falor of Eureka and Miles Falor of Akron, Ohio.
     The funeral took place at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon from the Doison undertaking parlors in Arcata, interment at Greenwood cemetery and Rev. Conner of the Methodist church officiated. The funeral was largely attended.”

     Austin Leonard Falor was born on 16 February 1866 at OH, USA.^2,1 He was the son of Ephraim A. Falor and Cora E. Hamlin.² Austin Leonard Falor married Catherine "Cassie" Wehr on 1 November 1892 at OH, USA.¹

     Avery Samuel Falor was born on 8 November 1856 at Coventry, Summit County, OH, USA.² He was the son of Isaac C. Falor and Lorilla M. Viers.¹ Avery Samuel Falor died on 25 October 1906 at Northfield, Summit County, OH, USA, at age 49; Death Records, vol 3 page 82 record 243, Summit County Probate Court, Akron, Ohio.²

     Baby Boy Falor is the son of Dorothy Lucille Oseland.
