"Brimfield Boy Dies In Camp
Clyde Faylor, Brimfield's second soldier boy to give up his life in his country's service and the first to be brought home, was given burial with patriotic honors Wednesday afternoon.
Clyde was the son of Mrs. Florence faylor. His father, Sylvestor Faylor, is dead. His mother, who was formerly Florence Ake, and three brothers survive. The brothers are Franklin in the west, Charlie who works in Streetsboro, and arthur, at home.
Clyde's death occurred at Camp Jackson, S.C., after a week's illness with influenza, pneumonis developing. He was 26 years of age and a young man who had many friends.
Rev. D.W. Besan of Kent paid a patriotic tribute to the dead soldier boy at the funeral services. He gave his life for his country as truly as if he had died in Battle, he said.
The remains reached Kent Monday night and were taken in charge by the Herriff undertakers. The body was in a sealed casket. While the funeral was private, a number of friends were present at the burial. The mother prostrated in her sorrow, was unable to attend the ceremony"

Faylor and Elvira Ake.¹ As of 17 March 1898,her married name was Stokey.¹ Daisy Faylor married William Harrison Stokey, son of Christopher John Stokey and Elizabeth May, on 17 March 1898 at Kent, Portage County, OH, USA.¹ Daisy Faylor died on 13 February 1954 at New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, OH, USA, at age 74.¹

     Edna Faylor is the daughter of Samuel Faylor and Josephine (?).¹

     Franklin Faylor was born on 2 August 1875 at Brimfield, Portage County, OH, USA.¹ He was the son of Sylvester Faylor and Florence Ake.

Death certificate number 1554 in the docket book # 4 page 117 at the Portage County Ohio Courthouse, Probate Division.¹ George Faylor was born in 1825 at Coventry Township, Summit County, OH, USA.¹ He was the son of John Adam Falor Jr. and Kiziah Wink.¹ George Faylor married Rebecca Sperra on 15 January 1846 at Portage County, OH, USA; Marriage record Volume #2 on page 258. They are found at the Portage County Ohio Courthouse, Probate Division.¹ George Faylor appeared on the census of 1850; He was registered as living with Abraham Falor.² He died on 23 March 1860 at Portage County, OH, USA.¹
