“Wauseon Man dies in Crash

Fred McQuillin killed Monday When Struck by Automobile Driven by Students.

Fred McQuillin, 52, of Wauseon, was killed Monday when the gas car an which he was riding struck an automobile occupied by two daughters of John Meyer at the Shoop avenue crossing of the Wabash railroad.
     McQuillin was a section worker on the Wabash and was riding with Lawrence Land and Clarence Snyder on the gasoline work car. Land, Snyder and the girls, who were enroute of school, were unhurt.
The accident victim is survived by his wife, Florence, and son Howard.”.
Fred McQuillin was born on 5 June 1875. He married Florence E. Hazel Falor, daughter of Joseph Falor and Mary Matilda McQuillin, on 22 June 1901. Fred McQuillin died on 11 April 1932 at Wauseon, Fulton County, OH, USA, at age 56.

     Mary Matilda McQuillin was buried at Salsbury Cemetery, Delta, Fulton County, OH, USA.³ She was born on 26 January 1854 at Pike Township, Fulton County, OH, USA.^4,2 She was the daughter of William McQuillin and Rachel Ann Miller.² As of 5 October 1871,her married name was Falor.¹ Mary Matilda McQuillin married Joseph Falor, son of Andrew Falor and Hannah McConkey, on 5 October 1871 at Pike Township, Fulton County, OH, USA.^5,2 Mary Matilda McQuillin appeared on the census of 1880; Census Place: York, Fulton, Ohio.
